last weekend was lash's birthday party and i suppose i was getting sick and didn't quite realize it or maybe i can step up and say that i can't drink like i used to at any rate, the night ended in vomiting out rex's car window... apparently i don't aim so well when intoxicated. so the next day, i had the worst hangover i've ever endured and then quickly realized, ya know i think i might actually be sick.
so, not only was a i sick, i was dealing with a very pissed off girlfriend who loves me but not my vomit, the embarrassment of it all. lets just say i've had better days.
i ended up missing most of work this week due to the ill. the last day i started reading "the secret lives of bees" which i've come back to off and on for several weeks.
i had about 50 pages i was ready to blow through last night and realized that i left it at work. :(
that's just kinda the week i've had.
i'm feeling much better in general but i sure could use a turbo boost of my old energy back. by mid afternoon the last few days i've contemplated a nap on my desk. not just head on desk but moving shit out of the way... bringing my bear, pillow, and dress (aka my fave blanket) and making a pallet like in pre-k.... right on top of my desk.
we should really get with the rest of the world on the whole siesta thing!
i also have noticed the last couple of days that fall is here in it's own little texas way. last night i saw a flying V of Canadian geese fly over our home. instead of trees changing color, we have monarch butterflies passing through.... they make me happy. so take a minute or five and just sit outside and most likely you'll see a couple monarchs flutter by or look overhead for migrating birds... and then you can close your eyes and pretend that we have real seasons.
